ATI TEAS Exam

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) measures basic essential skills in the academic content areas of reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage.

The objectives assessed on the TEAS exam are those which nurse educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry-level academic readiness of nursing program applicants.

Preparing for ATI TEAS
Applicants are expected to study/review for this test. While you are not required to take the online practice assessment, it is highly recommended that you do. If you are unable to purchase a study guide, the Academic Support Center has one copy that applicants may review on-site.

Taking ATI TEAS

  • Time limit is 209 minutes
  • 170 four-option, multiple-choice questions
  • Calculators may not be used

Create Your Account

All individuals preparing to take the TEAS test must first create an ATI account. To do so, visit atitesting.com and click “Create an Account” (follow the screen prompts). You only need to register once, and you will use the same account throughout your nursing program. You’ll need your ATI username and password to take the online test. Please bring this information with you to the testing location.

Find a Testing Location

Testing for the ATI TEAS exam is available at the MNU campus located in Olathe, KS, or at a certified ATI testing center. To schedule an appointment to test at MNU, please contact the Academic Support Center at asc@mnu.edu or 913.971.3387. Bring a government-issued photo ID and credit card with you on the day of your test. You may also visit the ATI website at atitesting.com to find a testing center in your area (fees may vary).

Online payment for MNU Administration Fee.

Test Scores

Minimum test scores vary by program. Please contact the academic department for specific program requirements. Taking the TEAS exam is limited to two attempts per application cycle. Request that an official copy of your scores be sent to MNU’s Professional and Graduate Admissions at pgadmissions@mnu.edu or 13563 S Mur-len Road, Olathe, KS 66062.
