The course work of the entire counseling program prepares you to be a general counselor first and then adds classes specifically designed as a means of better preparing you for work within the area of marriage and family counseling. This program meets all academic requirements for licensure in Kansas, Missouri and most other states.
Don’t forget, our Marriage, Couple and Family counseling program incorporates a high level of scholarship with real-world application, supervised client counseling and an integration of psychology and Christian faith. We are the only private university in Kansas to offer a CACREP-accredited graduate program in counseling.
There has never been a greater need for prepared professionals to assist those who are struggling with emotional and psychological pain. Utilizing “the science of compassion,” trained counselors facilitate hope and healing from personal and relational pain. Our marriage, couple, family program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)—the gold standard in the field professional counseling.
