The Kansas Association of Community College Trustees (KACCT) and the Kansas Independent College Association (KICA), of which MNU is a member, announced the successful negotiation of a global reverse transfer agreement between all eighteen private colleges and all nineteen community colleges. The agreement is expected to significantly boost the number of Kansans who earn at least an associate’s degree, which has been linked to higher lifetime incomes, lower unemployment, better health outcomes, and increased community involvement....

MNU’s second annual Week of Scholarship is April 7 through 10, 2015, and highlights student and faculty achievement at MNU. The public is encouraged to attend and most events are free of charge. Activities begin Tuesday, April 7, with an exclusive Scholar Visit Day for high-achieving area high school students. The scholars tour campus, meet MNU students and talk with professors while they learn what it is like to attend MNU....

Margaret “Marge” Emma Camfield Smith, age 96, of Olathe, Kansas, beloved founding first lady of MidAmerica Nazarene University, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2015. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Olathe Hospice House. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. To the community of Olathe and MidAmerica Nazarene University, Marge will be remembered for a legacy of faithfulness and investment in the lives of others. MNU is the recipient of a $5,000 Carnegie-Whitney Grant from the American Library Association to develop an annotated bibliography on analog games and learning. The project will provide a ready-made, on-demand resource to K-12 educators, MNU faculty, and university researchers and practitioners in the region....
