MNU honored the memory of three women from the School of Nursing with a tree planting at the close of Community Chapel April 21. Professor Delia Pittman, staff member Mrs. Janine McReynolds, and student, Quincy Foster.  Each of these women embodied the mission of MNU in their commitment to service and mission.   Members of the Foster family surround the tree planted in memory of Quincy Foster who passed away January 1, 2015. Three crabapple trees were planted by the northwest corner of Cook Center near the entrance to the School of Nursing....

MNU is the recent recipient of an in-kind grant of four 3D System “CUBE” printers, which will create a MakerSpace in Mabee Library. 3D printing is a process for making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model. This is typically done by laying down many successive thin layers of material. The process of 3D printing is quickly gaining momentum in STEM education programs at all levels....

The fourth annual President’s Honors was a memorable night honoring individuals to whom the very existence of the university is owed. President David Spittal bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award upon Drs. Paul and Connie Cunningham, and remembered the late Founding First Lady Marge Smith with a special tribute. Held at Cook Center April 10, the event, its sponsors and the live and mobile auctions raised a record amount....

On campus to attend President's Honors tonight are four of MNU's presidents. Enjoying the weather on the Campus Mall are current President David Spittal and past presidents Dr. Ed Robinson, Dr. Don Owens and Dr. Richard Spindle.  The President's Honors is MNU's largest fundraising event. Over the past three years the event has raised $1.35 million for student scholarships. Tonight Drs. Paul G. and Connie R. Cunningham will receive MNU's Lifetime Achievement Award.  ...
