Yale, University of Michigan, MIT among stops on the tour. MidAmerica Nazarene University will be the only university visited in Kansas by the Pray For America Bus Rally Tour 2015. The 56-day tour started September 9 and will conclude November 4 in Washington, D.C.  Traveling 5,915 miles through 26 states to mobilize prayer on more than 50 university and school campuses, the organization’s goal is to raise up intercessory prayer for education in America....

Alec Stahly offered prestigious seasonal NFL internship after graduation. This August, athletic training major Alec Stahly completed a five-week internship with the Kansas City Chiefs at the NFL’s summer training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri. Impressed by a strong performance, the Chiefs offered Stahly a second internship, only this time he will leave the training camp and head to a stadium in service of the full 2016 pro-football season. Stahly said he is humbled by the offer and plans to accept....

Pioneer football and cheer joined to greet the crowd at the 117th Old Settlers' Parade in downtown Olathe. Kansas' largest parade did not disappoint. Beautiful 70 degree weather and sunshine meant families were out in force to enjoy the day.  Thanks to Bobby McGee and Paul for bringing our favorite team of horses and wagon from KC Carriages.  MNU students are the best! Several hundred runners are paying tribute to the fallen of 9-11 and those who serve our country and community today in the 13th Annual Patriot's Run. Held at various venues across Olathe, this year organizers chose the Olathe campus of MNU.  Beginning at noon, the event spans 9 hours and 11 minutes. The family of Randy Drake, who died from his injuries outside the Twin Towers, has a team running and walking the entire 9 hours and 11 minutes. Other area families who lost loved ones in the events of 9-11 are also represented. ...
