The U.S. Paralympic Swimming team is competing with 176 other countries in Rio de Janeiro and one of MNU’s professors is an important adjunct to the group. They are providing disaster relief in West Virginia, planting a church in Louisburg, Kansas and now partnering with MNU for a historical film. Rev. Brad Estep, lead pastor of Kansas City First Church of the Nazarene, presented MNU President David Spittal with a gift of $16,500 on July 28, to contribute toward the production of a film on the life of Phineas Bresee, a co-founder of The Church of the Nazarene in the western U.S. The funds are part of an estate gift given to KC First Church. Estep says the church is distributing the gift to a number of important projects....

Imagine you’re 17 and you feel a call to ministry. You’ve shared this with your pastor and your friends. Now you have to wait until you are in college to really discover what this call is all about. Or you can jump in now and explore this call through a Ministry Leadership Institute at MNU. The Call is a one-week camp offered next summer, June 5-9 or 12-16, 2017 at MNU. Pastors, professors and other ministers will lead high school juniors and seniors in an exciting week meant to help them discover what their call means and equip them for the beginning of ministry....

Women’s basketball won the NAIA Division I National Championship after dominating the tournament in March. The Pioneers won their final 11 regular season games to secure the conference tournament title, then won each game in the national tournament by at least eight points to claim their first national title. The 32-5 record is a program best, and MNU earned victories over the #24, #23, #19, #18, #10, and #1 ranked teams in the nation en route to the title. Jon Lewis1 was named National Coach of the Year. Kyleesha Weston2 earned Championship Most Outstanding Player....
