Dr. Christopher Smith, MNU director of choral activities and worship arts, associate professor of music, was honored with a unique opportunity to accompany award-winning Christian artists Lynda Randle and Michael Tait in their performance in the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. MNU announced its Fall 2020 Census Day numbers today. The total number of students enrolled for fall 2020 semester is 2,239, an increase of 17% from fall 2019. Freshmen are part of the equation, up 10%, the class is the largest since 2017. Continuing education student enrollment is also up significantly.  MNU met the challenge of reopening during the pandemic in late August with strict protocol to protect students and employees. Its Emergency Response Team continues to meet weekly to adjust protocol, schedules and provisions for the campus. ...

MNU mourns the passing of Nancy Robinson, wife of the late Dr. Ed Robinson, MNU's fourth president, September 22, 2020. Mrs. Robinson served the university as its first lady from July 2005 to May 2010. She joined in working for the beautification of the MNU campus, assisting with events and with Dr. Robinson's ministry.  Mrs. Robinson's career was as an educator. She was an engaging writer and adept at communicating with people from all walks of life and in virtually any setting....

Reynolds (’04, MA ’06), CEO of Temple, Texas, Police Department, is not only a two-time MNU alum, he also served the university as an adjunct professor teaching the criminal justice course Policing in America. Groundbreaking on the $20 million Cunningham Student Center was held Friday, August 28, on the campus mall at MNU. The new building, which is part of the Bright Futures Campaign for MNU, will house student services, the dining hall, Admissions and more. Plenty of space for community gatherings, meetings and socializing is planned. The building will replace the Campus Center, one of the university's five original buildings....
