MNU’s 50th anniversary celebration continues next month with a weekend packed full of music, theatre and art from yesterday and today, March 4-5, 2017. Join us for an entertaining weekend celebrating the arts.

 

Events:

Sat., March 4

9 a.m.              Prospective Student Auditions (McIntire)

10:30 a.m.       Art Exhibit Opening – current and former University faculty (Gilmore)

11:30 a.m.       50th Anniversary Fine Arts Luncheon (Lobby) – features former and current faculty including Dr. Dennis Crocker and Mrs. Jo Cunningham and Dr. Cindy Peterson.

1:15 p.m.         Art Presentation by Ray Craighead (McIntire)

2:30 p.m.        MNU Theatre Through the Years with Alumni and Students (Mabee) – alums and current students perform scenes from some of our favorite MNU Theatre.

4:30 p.m.         Art and Theatre Reception (Lobby)

7:30 p.m.        MNU Band Concert (Mabee) – Amazing Grace, a program of sacred selections

8:30 p.m.         Band Reception (Lobby)

9:30 p.m.         Action Pact – Improv show (Sunderland Black Box)

Sun., March 5

3:30 p.m.        Sing Joyfully - MNU Choir Concert - The feature concert of the year invites choral alumni from MNU’s 50-year history to participate. Dr. Dennis Crocker will guest conduct historical favorites, A Mighty Fortress and My Eternal King. Choral alumni interested in participating should contact Dr. Christopher Smith at cmsmith3@mnu.edu.
