Choirs to Debut New CD at Concert

The Department of Fine and Performing Arts will debut their CD, On With the Show, at their annual pops concert Sunday, April 19 at 3:30 p.m. in Bell Cultural Events Center. The CD was recorded in the Mabee Performing Arts Hall and highlights the Center’s exquisite acoustics.

Music on the CD release includes pieces from Peter Pan, Showboat, Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Disney’s Pete’s Dragon, Sleepless in Seattle and more. Featured students include Grace Wallace, Mark Hall, Garrett Stalder, and Morgan Bradford among others. Heritage Choir, Concert Choir and Symphonic Choir are conducted by John Leavitt, PhD, director of choirs and professor of music at MNU.  Patrons at the concert can purchase the On With the Show CD for $10 at the concert. CDs will also be available through The Merc (MNU Bookstore) for $12 after the concert.
