Lamar Inducted in NAIA Hall of Fame

Head Men's Basketball Coach Rocky Lamar ('76), now in his 28th season at MNU, was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame at the NAIA National Men's Basketball Div. I Championship Banquet in Kansas City, Mo., March 18. Lamar has more than 660 wins for MNU and has taken the Pioneers to National Tournaments 18 times, winning the top spot in 2007.

Under Lamar's leadership the Pioneers have made the NAIA Sweet 16, 13 times, the Elite 8, 10 times, the Fab 4: 5 times, and runner up one time, in addition to the National Championship in 2007. Lamar has coached 18 All Americans, and had 13 All Conference players since 2007. In 2012 Lamar was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
