Computer Science Major Launches Fall 2018

Teacher and students
University News

In the 2018 fall semester, MNU students will be able to choose computer science as a major. The program is being added to MNU’s academic offerings as a Bachelor of Science with three tracks to choose from: Software development, scientific computing and big data/data science. The major will focus on preparing graduates interested in pursuing careers in areas such as software engineering, big data and web development, among others.

Nancy Damron, PhD, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences says the program will provide valuable coursework for students in other majors as well.

“Many of the classes may be taken by students outside the area of the sciences such as business, graphics or nursing majors,” she says. “These classes also complement current offerings in the information systems minor.”

Visit the majors page for more information or contact admissions.
