Anthony Kearns, founding member of the Irish Tenors, performed at Bell Cultural Events Center Sept. 15, 2012. He sang a collection of Irish folk tunes in addition to pieces from various operas, including a piece from Carmen. He also performed classical songs, and a show tune—singing a duet with his accompanist (Dale Morehouse, who is impressive in his own right.) You could tell that they were enjoying themselves onstage!
Mr. Kearns has performed in operas and concerts in places such as Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House- often performing as the lead tenor! His experience is quite impressive indeed. It was exciting to have him here at Bell with us, he is a very talented and nice man. Between him and his accompanist, it was a wonderful evening.
The event was well put together and enjoyable, Bell is a fantastic place to view performances! The audience enjoyed the concert greatly--even singing along when Mr. Kearns requested.
