MidAmerica Nazarene University will be the only university visited in Kansas by the Pray For America Bus Rally Tour 2015. The 56-day tour started September 9 and will conclude November 4 in Washington, D.C. Traveling 5,915 miles through 26 states to mobilize prayer on more than 50 university and school campuses, the organization’s goal is to raise up intercessory prayer for education in America.
The bus will arrive at 10 a.m. on Oct. 5 at MNU’s Olathe campus, 2030 E. College Way. The public is invited to join students, faculty and staff and the ministry partners on the tour for prayer at 11 a.m. in Bell Cultural Events Center.
In 2013 the National Day of Prayer Task Force expanded its ministry with the Pray For America Bus Tour (P4A). Additional ministry partners on the tour include individuals from Ratio Christi, RESET, Cru, YWAM, and Campus Renewal Ministries. The P4A blog cites many instances of prayer and Christian fellowship that has occurred along the tour at universities such as Ohio State, Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and MIT among others.
MNU President David Spittal and Associated Student Government recently hosted MNU’s annual Pioneer Prayer Walk at the beginning of the academic year. Spittal says the emphasis on prayer at MNU is strong and thus the P4A visit is very appropriate.
“I am thrilled that this national organization will join us with their support as we continue pray for our campus and for each other,” Spittal shared.
