Ribbon Cutting Celebrated for Mabee Learning Commons

Thanks to a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Title III Strengthening Institutions Program, Mabee Library and The Kresge Center have been renovated and repurposed. View the photo gallery.

The new Mabee Learning Commons houses the library, the Academic and Professional Center for Success, the Center for Games & Learning and gathering spaces for study, collaboration, socializing, meeting and instruction. A ribbon cutting was held October 21, 2016 to celebrate the new spaces. U.S. Representative from Kansas, Kevin Yoder (above left) was in attendance along with Olathe Mayor Mike Copeland, a 1984 MNU graduate, and Olathe Chamber CEO Tim McKee. The project was 78% Federally-funded and 22% non-Federally funded.
