MNU Choral Director and Alums Accompany Randle and Tait in 98th National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
This issue features alumni who’ve committed themselves to serving others through healthcare. They comment on work during a pandemic as well as their motivation to serve. We hope you’ll be inspired by these few who represent many.
Contributing to her success, MNU was the perfect place for Joslene to learn. She found smaller groups, which were well organized, making it easier to manage her studies and connect with other students who were just as dedicated. Her passion for wonder was encouraged. Asking questions and sharing vulnerably about her challenges was welcomed and rewarded. In this environment, Joslene says she felt she was heard.
With a whole community effort, MNU’s new freshman class, numbering 223, is the largest since 2010 (229). This represents a 26.7 % increase over 2016 and is the second largest class since 2006. Transfer students are also up with 90 new students calling MNU home. The total incoming class is 313 this year compared to 260 in 2016. Read how the entire Pioneer family helped make it happen.
Jim Edlin, PhD (’72) recently wrote a new commentary for Haggai, Malachi, and Zechariah (The Foundry); “Covenant in the Old Testament,” an article in the January-February issue of Holiness Today; and “The Irony of Jonah,” an article in the quarterly journal, Illustrated Bible Life. Dr. Edlin retired from his position as professor of biblical literature and languages at MNU at the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. more>
