Adventures on the Frontlines
We hope you enjoy this issue of Accent featuring women in leadership. From alumni to students to administration, MNU and the new We Lead initiative seek to empower our graduates.
Contributing to her success, MNU was the perfect place for Joslene to learn. She found smaller groups, which were well organized, making it easier to manage her studies and connect with other students who were just as dedicated. Her passion for wonder was encouraged. Asking questions and sharing vulnerably about her challenges was welcomed and rewarded. In this environment, Joslene says she felt she was heard.
With a whole community effort, MNU’s new freshman class, numbering 223, is the largest since 2010 (229). This represents a 26.7 % increase over 2016 and is the second largest class since 2006. Transfer students are also up with 90 new students calling MNU home. The total incoming class is 313 this year compared to 260 in 2016. Read how the entire Pioneer family helped make it happen.
MNU Director of Athletics Todd Garrett announced that MNU Baseball, Cheerleading, and Volleyball will expand their rosters to include a Developmental Team (junior varsity) starting Fall of 2018. Scholarships will be available as the three new squads are the springboard for possible future expansions. more>
