The Sullivan Center strives to be a resource for pastors as they maintain the new continuing education requirements. See how we can help you with these requirements.
What are the lifelong learning requirements for licensed and ordained ministers in the Church of the Nazarene?
Manual 426.6 states that “once a minister has fulfilled the requirements of a validated course of study for ministry, he or she will continue a pattern of lifelong learning to enhance the ministry to which God has called him or her. A minimum expectation is 20 contact hours each year (2 CEUs).”
What are continuing education units (CEU)?
A continuing education unit (CEU) represents 10 hours of contact (class participation) in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.
How can I fulfill my annual CEU requirements through the Sullivan Center?
All Sullivan Center events—conferences, forums and webinars—count towards CEU requirements for Church of the Nazarene ministers. Once you register and attend an event, the Sullivan Center will submit your CEU hours to the Clergy Development office. They will send your CEU hours to your district.
As a resouce for pastors and church leaders, the Sullivan Center for Church Leadership is proud to offer continuing education to meet the demands of today's busy pastors. Please choose a resource to further your knowldege:
