MNU Scholarships

MidAmerica Nazarene University scholarships and grants support the enrollment of full-time students in the traditional program who are seeking their first bachelor’s degree. Scholarships and grants using University funds cannot create a cash refund for students.

Many of our academic departments also offer scholarships. Please inquire whether these can apply to you.

These awards are based upon student performance on the ACT/SAT examination and high school grade point average. Transfer student awards are based upon cumulative college GPA. Available to new full-time students only, these awards are renewed for each year of a student’s full-time MNU enrollment provided minimum academic requirements are met. Contact the Admissions office to find out more about these scholarships and grants.

Scholarships for both men and women are available in the inter-collegiate sports MNU offers. Scholarship amounts vary based upon perceived ability.

The grant is available to dependent children of active full-time, salaried pastors and missionaries. Pastors must be serving in a ministerial role. Students must be 23 years of age or younger to be eligible. Students must be enrolled full-time in MidAmerica Nazarene University’s traditional undergraduate degree program. Students seeking a second undergraduate degree are not eligible. The grant cannot exceed eight (8) semesters. To verify eligibility each aid year for the Grant for Pastor’s Dependent Children, a letter on official letterhead from a Board Chairperson, Church Board Secretary, or other proper official must accompany this application. When filling out the online form, please upload your verification document (Microsoft Word, PDF, or photograph).

A limited number of scholarships are available to students who demonstrate proficiency in the arts of music and/or theatre. Auditions are required.

Full-time undergraduate students without a bachelor’s degree may be eligible for this scholarship if:

  1. Their home church has agreed to participate in this program, and
  2. The student is enrolled at least 12 hours (Full-Time).

A scholarship of up to $500 per year per student from a participating church is given a one-to-one match for a maximum of $500 per year ($250 per semester).

Incoming Nazarene students are eligible to receive up to $5,000 for the Nazarene Legacy Scholarship. This scholarship is confirmed by a pastoral recommendation. Please reach out to the admissions office for this recommendation form.
