Benefits of Concurrent Enrollment

Wondering how Concurrent Enrollment at MNU can benefit you? Here are some of the ways you'll get ahead.

Six Benefits:

  1. Start Early: You can get a head start on college coursework, completing your general education requirements needed for a bachelor's degree at most universities. Concurrent enrollment gives you a head start on exploring a future career, and it also means that you can save time and money in the long run, as these classes are significantly discounted.
  2. Support Services: Students enrolled in the Concurrent Enrollment program have access to MNU’s academic support services, including writing and math tutors in the Academic Success Center as well as a full menu of online tutoring options.
  3. Campus Life: Spending time taking even one Concurrent Enrollment course will give you an idea of what college life is like at MNU.
  4. Experienced Faculty: Classes in the Concurrent Enrollment program are taught by some of MNU’s most notable professors. Our professors are known for bringing their own personal experience into the classroom. MNU professors also care deeply about your own, personal success. They will know your name and are available to assist you throughout the duration of the course. Learn more about our faculty.
  5. Christian Perspective: MNU is an evangelical, Christian university sponsored by the Church of the Nazarene. Our administration, faculty and staff care deeply about helping students uncover God’s call and purpose for their lives. At MNU, you’ll find that our belief in Jesus Christ permeates all that we do. From our classrooms, to weekly chapel services, to campus life we strive to nurture a Christlike community that pursues academic excellence and cultivates a passion to serve.

Our community at MNU is made up of students from a variety of faith backgrounds. Our faculty and staff work hard to create a caring, supportive atmosphere for all our students. We believe that God created you with a purpose. MNU is a place where you can uncover that purpose and grow in relationship with others and with God.
  6. Easy College Transition: Once you're accepted in the Concurrent Enrollment program, there is no need to re-apply to MNU after your high school graduation.  You will only need to supply an updated high school transcript after you graduate and you will be set to attend MNU full-time!
