Financial Aid

We are here to help every step of the way

Your college education is one of the most important investments you'll ever make. But you probably have real questions about how you can afford it.

Our Office of Student Financial Aid Services understands that your financial aid represents an investment in your future. We are committed to helping you and your family determine the best way to pay for your MNU education. We will work hard to help you maximize your financial aid options.

More than 94% of MNU students receive financial aid in the form of grants, scholarships, loans or work study. Some awards are made on the basis of financial need, others for academic merit or performance, and some for a combination of the two. We are confident you'll find real value in your MNU education.

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

In order to maximize your financial aid opportunities and find out what type of award you qualify for, keep these steps in mind:

  1. APPLY FOR ADMISSION TO MNU
You'll want to complete your MNU Application for Admission as soon as possible. Both federal and state financial assistance require that you be accepted at MNU before we can finalize your financial aid.

  2. FILL OUT THE FAFSA
For students entering MNU during the 2018-19 school year, the 2018-19 FAFSA can be submitted as early as October 1, 2017. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) any time after October 1, 2017 at www.fafsa.ed.gov, and be sure to include MNU with our school code: 007032.
    • FSA ID: An FSA ID is a username and password that you must use to log in to certain U.S. Department of Education websites, including FAFSA. Your FSA ID identifies you as someone who has the right to access your own personal information. If you are a parent of a dependent student, you will need your own FSA ID if you want to sign your child’s FAFSA electronically. If you have more than one child attending college, you can use the same FSA ID to sign all applications. Please note: Each FSA ID user must have a unique email address. You should use an email address you will be able to access after high school graduation. Your FSA ID is used to sign legally binding documents electronically. It has the same legal status as a written signature. To generate your username and password, please visit the FSA ID website now.

  3. YOU’LL USE EARLIER INFO
The FAFSA application is filed with income and tax information from an earlier tax year. This prior-prior year initiative allows high school seniors to receive financial aid eligibility information earlier. Students and/or parents won’t need to estimate their tax information and then go back into the FAFSA later to update it. The 2018-19 FAFSA will collect information from 2016, which has already been submitted to the Internal Revenue System (IRS). You may download income information from the IRS directly into the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Use MNU's school code: 007032
