MidAmerica Nazarene University provides both need-based and merit-based scholarships and grants.
These awards support the enrollment of full-time students in the traditional program who are seeking their first bachelor’s degree. Scholarships and grants using University funds cannot create a cash refund for students.
Many of our academic departments also offer scholarships. Please inquire during you campus visit if these can apply to you.
These awards are based upon student performance on the ACT/SAT examination and high school grade point average. Transfer student awards are based upon cumulative college GPA. Available to new full-time students only these awards are renewed for each year of a student’s full-time MNU enrollment provided minimum academic requirements are met.
The grant is available to children of active full-time, salaried pastors. Students must be 23 years of age or younger to be eligible. Students must be enrolled full-time in MidAmerica's traditional undergraduate degree program. Students seeking a second undergraduate degree are not eligible. The grant cannot exceed eight (8) semesters.
MNU Need-Based Grants are awarded based on the results from the Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). The grant is designed to supplement the financial resources of the student and their family. The grant amount will vary with the financial need of the family. A FAFSA is required each year to renew the grant. The grant can change year to year based on the need of the family.
Full-time undergraduate students without a bachelor’s degree may be eligible for this scholarship if:
- Their home church has agreed to participate in this program, and
- The student is enrolled at least 12 hours (Full-Time).
A scholarship of up to $500 per year per student from a participating church is given a one-to-one match for a maximum of $500 per year.
Full-time undergraduates enrolled in the traditional program will receive a $1,000 annual award.
