Church Relations

The objective of Church Relations is to establish a community of churches to advance a Christian experience in the lives of our students.

Church Relations

Church Relations seeks to engage Christ-centered churches and their leadership in order to build and strengthen relationships, connect churches to the resources of MidAmerica Nazarene University, and promote church partnership in support of our students’ academic goals.

Whether you’re the pastor of a current or prospective MNU student, or merely interested in learning about our mission,  our Church Relations office is your entry to MNU educational and ministry resources.

The Harvest Prayer sculpture anchors the campus. It is in the center of the mall in the Prayer Circle.

MNU is a community of faith as well as a community of learning. Spiritual growth is a critical component of a student’s MNU experience—MNU is a place where students encounter God and grow in their Christian faith.

"In 2 Kings 6:17, the servant of Elijah could only see disaster from his limited perspective but Elijah helped him see from God’s perspective that there is always more going on than meets the eye. God is active is ways we may never fully realize but we can trust."

BUDGET REPORTS

How would MNU exist without the support of our regional churches? From the university’s founding through today, you have believed in and supported our mission. Thank you for your gifts! We really couldn’t do it without you.

District Reports

Below are monthly giving reports for each district to assist in tracking educational giving. These reports will be posted on approximately the 1st of each month. If you have questions, please call University Advancement toll-free at 877.496.8668 or email foundation@mnu.edu.

Education Fund

MidAmerica Nazarene University would not exist without the longstanding, generous financial support of our regional churches. Each year, Nazarene churches give a portion of the funds they have raised to advance the mission of the university. MNU reports churches and district giving on a monthly basis. You can review these reports below.

MNU has made it even easier for you to support the university’s mission by creating an online giving portal specifically for church treasurers and district leadership. Save on postage by using this convenient payment option and see the impact of your gifts.

Church-Match Scholarships We know you want to help the students in your congregation succeed at MNU. Our matching scholarship program allows you to financially assist your students. For every dollar you contribute to an individual student scholarship, MNU will match it up to $500. The process is straightforward. Read these simple instructions on making a church-match scholarship. If you have any questions please email churchrelations@mnu.edu or call 913.971.3356.

Student Mission Trips

Do you have an MNU student from your congregation embarking on a mission trip through MNU? You can support their ministry efforts by calling MNU’s Cashier’s Office at 913.971.3504 to make a trip payment.

Endowment/Scholarship Fund

Several local churches and districts have opted to establish an endowment fund or scholarship fund to support the Christ-centered education of MNU students from their congregations. If you would like to add to your church or district’s endowment or scholarship fund, contact MNU’s Office of University Advancement at 913.971.3600 or foundation@mnu.edu.

SERVE team Support

After one of MNU’s SERVE teams visits a church, the congregation often wishes to express its appreciation by supporting the Kingdom-expanding work of the group.
