MNU’s annual gala, President’s Honors, was held Friday, April 12, 2024, to raise funds for scholarships. The event, held at the university’s campus, was a resounding success, with over $800,000 raised, bringing the total amount raised over 12 years of the gala to an impressive $7.5 million.

The evening was filled with elegance and inspiration. Guests were treated to an exquisite dinner, captivating music selections, and an exciting silent and live auction. The gala provided a unique opportunity for attendees to support the university’s mission of providing quality Christian higher education.

One of the highlights of the evening was the fully funded special fund-a-need effort, Experiential Learning for STEM Students, which raised an impressive $20,000. This initiative will enable MNU to enhance the educational experience of STEM students, providing them with valuable hands-on learning and research opportunities.

In recognition of their outstanding contributions to the university and the community, Allen and Saralyn Brown, Class of 1972, were honored with MNU’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. The Browns’ unwavering commitment to education and philanthropy has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals at MNU and in their sphere of influence.

The gala also showcased the exceptional talent of MNU’s music and theater students. Guests were treated to captivating performances by the university’s renowned Heritage Choir, Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, and Symphonic Choir. The students’ passion and dedication were evident in every note, leaving the audience in awe.

Over the 12 years of the live gala, more than $7.5 million has been raised for scholarships.

More than 400 individuals attended President’s Honors, including prominent community members, alumni, faculty, and staff. Their generous support and presence at the event demonstrated their commitment to MNU’s mission and the importance of providing for deserving students.

President David Spittal expressed his gratitude to all the attendees, sponsors, and volunteers who made the evening a tremendous success. “The President’s Honors gala is a testament to our community’s incredible generosity and support. Thanks to their contributions, we can continue transforming lives through education and empowering our students to make a difference in the world,” said President Spittal.

The funds raised at the gala will profoundly impact the lives of MNU students, enabling them to pursue their dreams and achieve academic excellence. Next year’s event is scheduled for April 11, 2025.
