MNU's Delta Mu Delta Honored

Chapter Wins Award

August 19, 2013

MNU's Epsilon Theta Chapter of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society has earned the 2013 Star Chapter Award. This year only 18 of the Society's 300 chapters achieved Star Chapter Status. The Star Chapter Award recognizes chapters that exceed the society’s standards in two of the following areas: competition for Delta Mu Delta scholarships, a chapter-driven campus or community service project, and significant growth in membership.

MNU’s chapter advisor is Lisa Wallentine, associate professor of business. Wallentine says MNU has 26 members including 14 new inductees. Its president was Ben Hughes and the vice president was Laura Fields. The Chapter held its first-ever service project last year for the MS Society – assisting with a 5K at The Legends shopping mall in Kansas City, Kan.

Since its founding in 1913, Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society has inducted 150,000 members who have shown excellence in their studies in college and graduate school.
