The Kansas Independent College Association (KICA) invited student leaders from its institutions to attend Student Day at the Capitol February 25, 2026. Engaging with state representatives, the 47 students had the chance to learn about the legislative process while sharing stories about the importance of their individual schools. Studies show that independent colleges and universities in Kansas have a financial impact of $1.1 billion each year. More importantly, the students demonstrate the human potential that KICA schools influence.

The MNU group also met with Senator Adam Thomas.
