Under the artistic direction of Dr. Kevin Coker, Chorus Kansas City (CKC) is a vibrant, newly established community choir that celebrates the joy of singing and the connections it fosters. One hundred fifteen voices strong, CKC is proud to present the works of outstanding contemporary composers in addition to classic choral standards. This program features Dan Forrest’s seven-movement Jubilate Deo for chorus and orchestra. The orchestra is composed of musicians from the Kansas City Symphony and other local artists.
Also presented will be CKC’s premier ensemble, Kansas City Chamber Singers. This group performs a wide variety of challenging musical selections, showcasing artistry and precision.
Chorus Kansas City is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of patrons to bring the joy of music to life in our community. Donations help to make music more accessible to all and to build a legacy of creativity and connection. If you would like to “lend your voice” to our efforts through financial support or by joining us in song for our Fall Session—or both—please visit choruskansascity.org for more information about how you can participate.
