Eight 2024 graduates of the Master of Science in Nursing program at MNU have more in common than their studies. They all work for the University of Kansas Health System. Each of the nurses have different roles in patient care for their employer and met while in the online graduate nursing program.

The graduates value the camaraderie and engaging discourse they encountered in their master’s program, which was further enriched because they share an employer.
“Having a mutual employer seemed to form a bond when responding to group discussions throughout the program” says Erin. “It was nice to meet and then get to know my colleagues who have the same common goals for patient care – even though we work at different facilities.”
If not for the support from their managers and peers, many of the eight nurses would not have considered registering for classes and may not have had the opportunity to meet one another.
“The assistance provided by senior leadership and colleagues was invaluable during my academic journey,” says Michele. “From words of encouragement to practical help with assignments, I am truly grateful for their unwavering support.”
