MNU’s complete Anti-Hazing Policy, available at the link below, contains information on where and how to report incidents of hazing, efforts to educate about hazing and applicable sanctions including Kansas law.
Statistics and Reports
The numerical count of reported hazing incidents at MNU will be available in the Annual Security Report beginning in 2026 (for calendar year 2025).
Additionally, the Hazing Transparency Report summarizes findings of any recognized student organization found to be in violation of the university’s hazing policy. This report is updated biannually.
Beginning January 1, 2025, MNU began collecting hazing statistics for inclusion in the Annual Security Report. Only substantiated reports are included. This report is updated at least twice annually and will cover a span of ten academic years. It is prepared in accordance with federal and state hazing transparency requirements.
There were no reported hazing violations by student organizations.
Title IX (9) of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. 1681) (Title IX) is a federal law that prohibits discrimination based on the gender of students and employees of educational institutions that receive federal financial assistance.
Reporting Sexual Harassment
Any person may report Sexual Harassment to the Title IX Coordinator. Reports may be made in person, by regular mail, telephone, electronic mail, or by any other means that results in the Title IX Coordinator receiving the person’s verbal or written report. In-person reports must be made during normal business hours, but reports can be made by regular mail, telephone, or electronic mail at any time, including outside normal business hours.
The University encourages members of the University Community to report any and all instances of Sexual Harassment, even if they are unsure whether the conduct rises to the level of a policy violation.
