William Gurley is a student of Professor Heather Tinker.

A Note from the Director:

Frankenstein has captured the minds of readers and audiences for over two hundred years. The story was first introduced through Mary Shelley’s eponymous novel originally published in 1818, when she was younger than I am now! Since then, it’s been adapted many times.
So, why bother writing another one?
I first began work on what is now this play over three years ago. After (finally) making my way to MNU, I realized that I needed a senior capstone project, and Heather Tinker and I thought this was the perfect choice. In this adaptation, Kayli and I have focused on the themes of responsibility, consequences for actions, and fatherhood, as well as the impact of words. While this adaptation is appropriate for the MNU stage, it is still quite intense, so audience discretion is advised. Frankenstein has its comedic moments, but my goal with this production is to get you, the audience, to think about Victor’s actions and repercussions. Please enjoy Frankenstein!
